As a Third Culture Kid I've been moving around my whole life. Originally from and born in India, I have also lived in Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Canada, before my family settled in Singapore.
I've done a lot of work in Film and Television, but have also acquired skills in graphic design, photography and other areas outside of development and general internships.

Development Intern at Jane Startz Productions, Inc., an entertainment company headed by producer Jane Startz that specializes in children and young adult book to film and television adaptation.
Duties included writing coverage for books and other written materials, updating and maintaining databases, research for current and upcoming projects, keeping up with entertainment industry and publishing trends, sub-rights inquiries, creating presentational materials and helping to review and edit materials and scripts, and administrative tasks.
Milojo Productions

February – May 2020
Development Intern at Milojo Productions, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos's production company based in New York City, known for scripted and unscripted works.
Duties included writing coverage for scripts, books and other materials, conducting research for upcoming and current projects, keeping up with industry news and trends, and maintaining databases along with performing administrative tasks.
Completed a final pitch project for this internship.

General and Production Intern at FilmNation Entertainment, an independent production and distribution entertainment company for various films, television shows, and plays.
Duties included writing coverage for scripts, books and other materials considered for production and/or sales, administrative tasks, and working with other departments in updating databases, creating presentational materials, and research for current and upcoming projects.
Completed a final project for this internship.

February – April 2017
Junior Casting Assistant at Mad Dog Casting, a casting agency located within Ealing Studios in Ealing, UK that casts extras for films, television shows, and commercials.
Duties included answering artist queries, assisting project managers with various tasks such as creating look books, updating the artist database, and sending out availability checks, booking confirmations and releases.

Hamptons International Film Festival

Screening Committee Member for the Hamptons International Film Festival 2022 (HIFF30) and 2023 (HIFF31).
Duties included watching and providing coverage on short and feature length narrative and documentary films, and pitching films to festival programming.
Attended HIFF30 as an Industry Member.

Freelance Production and Literary Assistant for Peter B. Barton, a documentary filmmaker known for Women of '69, Unboxed and runs Groundswell Media. Assisted with production for Barton's latest project WE RISE UP SINGING (2021), a documentary about the Brooklyn Women's Chorus, and with his poetry chapbook project WHEN ALL IS AFTER.
Duties include sound and camera assistance, equipment coordination, and poetry submission management and outreach.

Assistant at Closetful of Books, a specialist bookstore based in Singapore, for the duration of the Asian Festival of Children's Content 2015.
Duties included managing the book stall at the festival, ringing up customers and providing customer support, set up author presentations and managing book sales, assisting author AJ Betts on a school visit at the Australian International School.

Started a book review blog in 2010 and since then have reviewed over 400 Young Adult and Middle Grade titles.
Reviewed advanced copies for US's "Big Five" Publishing Houses: Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, Macmillan and Hachette.
Worked with authors and publishers to promote books via reviews, blog tours, and social media.
Presented at the "Geeking out with Goodreads" panel as a book blogger who uses Goodreads at the Google Summit Conference 2013 in Singapore.
